Registration Information

The early bird registration fee is $200, with an additional $30 fee for the pre-conference workshop day (July 7). The Department of Defense rate for the conference is $165, with an additional $20 for the pre-conference workshop day.  Morning and afternoon snacks will be offered each day.  Participants will receive lunch during the conference (July 8-10), and will have lunch on their own during the pre-conference workshop day (July 7).  A special student registration rate is available for $100, which includes the pre-conference workshop day.

Full payment must be made at the time of registration by check or credit card.  Early bird registration ends June 6, 2008; rates increase approximately 40 percent for all non-DOD registrations after that date.

Cancellation Policy
A written request must be received no later than June 6, 2008 to receive a full refund.  After this date, 50 percent of the registration fee will be refunded for those who cancel before July 3, 2008. There will be no refunds after July 7, 2008.


Continuing Professional Education


Physicians:
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), US NORTHERN COMMAND (US NORTHCOM), the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), and the Colorado Department of Human Services. USUHS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. It is expected that up to 24.5 CME, CNE, or APA credits will be awarded for those who attend all pre-conference and conference sessions.

Nurses:
The USUHS is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. It is expected that up to 24.5 CNE credits will be awarded for those who attend all pre-conference and conference sessions.

Psychologists:
This program is co-sponsored by USUHS, US NORTHCOM, UCCS, and the State of Colorado Behavioral Health. USUHS is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. USUHS maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
It is expected that up to 24.5 CME or APA credits will be awarded for those who attend all pre-conference and conference sessions.

Social Workers and Licensed Counselors:
The National Association of Social Workers-Colorado Chapter for continuing professional education has approved this program, as has the National Board for Certified Counselors. The conference will have 18 hours of CPE credit, and the pre-conference workshops will have 6 hours of CPE credit.

Clergy, First Responders, and other participants:
UCCS will award a certificate of completion and continuing education workshop credits (1.8 CEUs for the conference and 2.4 CEUs for the conference and pre-conference sessions when taken together) will be available from the university for a nominal fee.  If you are interested in obtaining CEUs from UCCS, please contact us so that we can prepare your information in advance of the conference.
